Dragonfly marketing

brand identity redesign

THE CHALLENGE

Dragonfly Marketing sought Moved’s help to clarify their market position, audience and visuals. After initial consultations, we determined a brand refresh was in order. Their existing cute ‘lollie-colours’ weren’t working after 12 years for their established clientele. Moved took a loved, local brand and matured it; retaining its essence yet bringing it into the future.

OUR SOLUTION

BOLD. STRONG. DISTINCTIVE.

We visualised ideas collaboratively and clarified the future business direction. Jane was about to approach a new market that didn’t know her heritage. Using her previous logo as a base, we redefined the hierarchy to hero marketing. We created graphic elements to communicate the jux-of-position between left and right brain which represents her marketing approach of artistic + logic. Overall the brand exudes life, joy and confidence, just like Jane Hillsdon herself.

The process

I recently worked with Jason to revitalize the branding for Dragonfly Marketing, not wanting to move too far away from the existing energy that my branding had. I just needed it to be updated and I needed it to reflect the new direction.

Jason delivered brilliantly on this brief and we went through quite a considered planning stage and execution stage where Jason really kind of dove deep and I guess held my hand through quite a lot of considerations around the strategy and the personality of my brand. Sometimes when you’re working on your own brand, it’s really hard to step back objectively and kind of consider how a brand will portray your business and your personality and what you do. You’re too close to it. So to have somebody come in with the strategic thinking around how that brand can kind of reflect best your organisation and where it’s headed was extremely helpful.

Jason was instrumental in highlighting a few areas where I think I’d set off in the wrong direction. And through this process surfaced key insights.

I now have a brand that I’m delighted with the elements, every element of the look and feel of my new brand. I’m so thrilled with the result and really appreciate Jason’s work in getting that result.
